Before: Becky G and Joey King met in a Five round thriller back in 2021 that ended with King’s hand raised at the end of the bout. Since then both women have fallen deep out of the flyweight rankings. Becky has struggled immensely in 2023, even getting ko’d by her stablemate Cierra Ramirez who she blames gets undeserved attention.
“I haven’t fought since January and that was completely my choice. I told my team I needed to take a step back and really focus on what I wanted to do next. I’ve been hitting the gym hard, putting on extra pounds of lean muscle. It’s hard competing with the bigger flyweights so I have to find a way to be different. I think my team and I have finally found the right formula.” Becky says when asked about her absence from the FCBA.
Joey finds herself in a losing streak but seems confident when asked about their rematch.
“This fight could have happened last year or another three years from now and we’ll always have the same result. I don’t need to be at my best to face a woman like Becky. Her body is soft and her chin is glass and she’ll be asleep on the canvas with my foot on her ass.” King replies with the rapping skills.
Becky G is the first to make the walk to the ring with a simple yet revealing yellow bikini. For the first time her abs are formed and her muscles small, yet defined and her legs look toned. Becky gets into the ring and flexes her muscles and waves at the crowd who hasn't seen her as active this year. She smacks her white gloves together as she awaits for her opponent.
Joey King’s entrance music blasts loudly in the arena as she comes in jogging to her corner. She takes off her robe to show off a rather revealing floral bikini. Her rack jiggles as she jumps in place shadow boxing ready to get this fight going!
Here we go with 10 rounds in the Flyweight division!

Round 1: It’s a weary start here in round 1 with both doing a lot of moving but not a lot of punches being thrown. Slowly they start exchanging leather in the center, trying to find an opening. Becky quickly changes the pace and blasts King to the midsection with sharp hooks that hurt the taller brunette. She retaliates with shots directed to Becky’s noggin but the smaller woman ducks and rips a hook to the body once more causing King to grunt and finishes by going upstairs. Becky G is looking quick tonight, very light on her toes. Joey does her best to keep Becky away, jabbing at her forehead, blocking her view with her gloves and manages to slow her down. Becky does her best to get inside but King keeps bopping her with the jab. Becky did the most damage and that's just enough to take the round.

Round 2: Becky’s plan is evident here as she tries to set up the combo to go for the body once again. Joey reads this and is prepared. Joey jabs, Becky ducks going low and is met by a crisp uppercut that snaps her head right back up. Becky’s eyes lose focus for a sec, gets blasted with another hook to the chin and now she's backed against the ropes. Joey is on the offensive, throwing volume at the body. Becky does her best to cover up, and goes for the clinch! Joey puts her weight and 3 inches of height advantage onto Becky who's pressed into the ropes. Sneaky hooks from King land on Becky’s midsection but with not enough power. The ref steps in to break them up, King fires right hook as they break, smashing Becky's ear and the Latina Knockouts fighter loses her balance! Ref says keep fighting! King jumps into the occasion, Becky complaining of an illegal blow and just then the bell rings! Becky gets saved by the bell!! Her Corner is going crazy at the ref, complaining of an illegal blow that almost KO'd Becky. She seemed pretty rocked by that shot!

Round 3: How well did Becky recover after that? Joey did mention Becky’s glass jaw, will she prove it to be true? We’re about to find out.
Joey shows composure early in the round, using her jab to find her timing. Becky on the other hand doesn't seem to be 100 percent there just yet, she's blinking very often trying to find her focus. She's the first to land a major punch though! Her left hand bursts sweat out of King’s noggin. And Joey fires back, counters to the body! Becky grunts, shakes her head no. The Latina Knockouts fighter swings, MISSES! Joey targets her trajectory and slams G’s chin with a clean uppercut right on the chin and Becky gets floored! Knockdown for KING!
Becky is flat on her back but she isn’t out. She groans but grabs the ropes as quickly as possible. She’s up at 6! Joey can’t wait to renew this fight as she slaps her boxing gloves together in her corner! The ref waives the fight on and Becky tries to swing her way out of danger. Joey slams another hook to the jaw and Becky’s eyes cross! She shakes the cobwebs and tries to keep her distance, King chasing her smaller opponent across the ring, Becky’s corner screaming all sorts of directions. They know their fighter can't take another hit like that! There seems to be no rush on Joey’s side or even her corner. They seem to be content taking Becky G apart instead of going for the knockout. Every time Becky and Joey swing, the power is evidently on King’s side. Becky’s punches seem to not bother her opponent who eats a hook and finishes with a hook that blasts Becky’s mouthpiece just as the bell rings! Dominant round for Joey King,

Round 4: Here comes Joey again trying to put her opponent to sleep! She can make a statement tonight by taking out Becky in four rounds. But Becky isn’t finished here as she begins to work her jab. Joey swings hard and misses and Becky capitalizes her mistake and shuts her down with a quick one two. The body shot hurt King! Becky seems to find her second wind, completing combos on King’s body who starts to lower her guard. Joey smashes a straight right to Becky’s nose reminding her of the power. Becky keeps up the pressure though and Joey seems to be drowning. For every punch Joey lands, Becky is returning 3-5. The smaller fighter corrals her opponent to the corner. It's Joey’s corner and they can hear their fighter grunting to every body punch. Joey is breathing hard and can’t get Becky out of her space! The bell rings and Joey’s corner is relieved!

Round 5: Joey has a significantly slower start this time around, her guard hanging low. Becky’s body work and stamina seem to be pulling through halfway through this bout. Becky’s light on her feet, dancing around stinging Joey to the body. Joey’s face shows visible pain as the minutes go thorough. Looping right hook connects for Becky, grazing Joey’s chin, wobbling her head. She follows it with another looping left and Joey goes limp on impact! King crashes hard on her back early in round 5! Becky goes to her corner hoping she has done enough. Joey grabs onto the ropes and PULLS with all of her force to get herself up. She’s up at the count of eight but you can tell she’s not fully there. Ref waves on the fight, Becky goes in, one, two, three RAPID combo sends Joey crashing to the ropes and the ref has seen enough! BECKY FINISHES JOEY ON THE ROPES.

TKO5 For Becky G!!

After: Becky G is in tears after the ref raises her hand in the air declaring her the winner. It has been a tough last few fights for her but she’s finally back in the winning column. “I can’t wait for my next fight! I want Scarlett Johansson next in the PPV. Let’s make it happen!” Becky seeks her next challenge. Joey continues her losing streak but just look at the names she has faced. Killer after killer, respect to Joey King.
